Hundred Years Gallery is a dynamic art space situated in Hoxton, East London, supporting experimental and innovative art.
The Gallery’s exhibition programme presents a wide spectrum of contemporary art production. They aim to provide a platform for radical ideas and young or unrepresented artists. The space also provides creative opportunities for those in the arts to become part of its exhibition programme through its annual open calls and editions project. They strongly believe art must engage with the local people of all ages and economic, social and cultural backgrounds.
Hundred Years Gallery has a strong commitment to presenting new composed, improvised and experimental music and sound works in an excellent acoustic setting. Weekly concerts feature international artists and the best of the UK’s new and most creative musicians. All at affordable admission price and accessible to all.
Artists’ Residencies
Hundred Years Gallery hosts a number of Artists’ Residencies each year providing London artists with a vital support to develop specific projects in the Gallery’s premises. They aim to promote the development of community cohesion at the Gallery and to create fruitful ways in which artists and curators can contribute towards the sustainability of artist run spaces.
The Gallery welcomes external project proposals for art exhibitions, music events or related art events. If you are interested in the use of the space to run a project please contact them by email with the subject ‘Space Enquiry’ to [email protected]
They are particularly interested in proposals for artist-led group show exhibitions and equivalent curatorial projects. They offer generous discounts for non profits, charities and local groups working with those in a disadvantaged socio-economic situation
GreatArt will be working with Hundred Years Gallery in 2017 to bring a series of artist residencies to the London Shoredtich Store.
