Originary Arts is a cultural events company based in London and Brighton, creating playful and participatory arts opportunities across the UK and beyond. Bright and bold, Originary Arts invites people of all ages to express themselves and explore their creativity.
Originary dreams up ideas and transforms them into opportunities for people to take part in workshops, events, exhibitions, projects and installations. They create multi-sensory arts events in collaboration with people and communities of all ages, shapes and sizes. From poetry to printmaking, paper cutting to puppetry, play to performances. Originary Arts believe passionately in the power of the arts!
Founded and led by Nikki Shaill
Nikki is a cultural events programmer, producer, curator and creator. She has twenty years experience of creating and leading cultural workshops, and events across art forms.
From heritage projects capturing people’s stories and creatively interpreting them, to large scale outdoor festivals and carnivals. Intimate community arts workshops to working with the UK’s leading museums and galleries on Lates programmes. From crafts workshop facilitation to producing music gigs, heritage project and children’s festivals to curating exhibitions. Nikki brings a wealth of learning and experience to Originary.
