I Love Art Studio Day

Straight from the artists’ mouth!

To really put these products to the test we decided to take them directly to the artists, so we turned up bright and early at Ripley Arts Centre with boxes of supplies for the society to use during their studio session. With oil colour, canvases, brushes, acrylic and papers on hand to try everyone had a really enjoyable day working with the I Love Art materials and provided us with their open and honest reviews of the products.
The oil and acrylic paints proved to be really popular, the members enjoyed their texture and range of colours and we only wish we could have captured the look of astonishment on their faces when we revealed their competitive prices! The oil paints received a unanimous 10 out of 10 in all areas, for such a low price the pigment loading was excellent and covered well when applied in layers, it also blended well on the canvas and left good definition when applied thinly. The acrylics even proved popular with the dedicated watercolour artists as it showed itself to be very versatile in its application.

The range offers brushes for all painting techniques with a good selection of sizes so they were eagerly snapped up and put to the test. The large brushes were particularly well liked and provided a smooth application when covering large areas with the I Love Art paints. Those working in detail also found the synthetic squirrel hair brushes a joy to use with excellent control.

Other products that received a postitive response include the Stretched Cotton Canvases with their good quality finish, the Canvas Boards with their pleasing surface, the flexible Palette Knives and the Ecological Brush Cleaner which left the members palettes cleaner than they were when the session started!

After being tried and tested, Bromley Art Society agree that the I LOVE ART range really do offer fantastic value for money art materials, with most members stating that they would definitely be making a purchase. You can also see from our photographs that the society members really approve of our ‘I Love Art’ aprons!
