How to get private funding for your practice
With Remi Harris MBE
Have you ever thought about borrowing money or using investment to fund your art practice or creative business? This session will discuss and present the options that are available to artists and small creative businesses. Participants will learn about the differences between borrowing and investment, understand what information is needed for a loan application (such as business plans, cash flows and budgets), and get a better understanding of what lenders and investors are looking for.
Remi Harris MBE has 20 years’ experience working across the creative industries as a trainer, senior manager, coach and business adviser in the UK and internationally. She is qualified with an MBA (Masters in Business). She is author of the book: Easy Money? The Definitive Guide to Funding Music Projects in the UK (2013). Clients include Creative United, Somerset House Trust, The Barbican, Metal Culture, Association of Independent Music, The Musicians’ Union, PRS Foundation and many individual artists.
Ticket includes a complimentary drink and networking after the talk.
