FYI is an art exhibition organised by Trapped in Zone One to benefit the young people at YMCA North London’s Hostel for homelessness. The exhibition features new work from 12 artists that is inspired by the issues faced by homeless people or those at risk of homelessness. All exhibited works are for sale.
The work can be viewed in the GreatArt front of house and windows from 17th to 24th November 2019. There will also be workshops hosted on the 21st and 23rd November to compliment the exhibition and theme.
Also offering their creative support to the project are Cut Glass Studio and Haringey-based artist Lana Hughes who will host a workshop for hostel residents at her studio in Tottenham. This workshop will form a collective piece that will be included in the exhibition.

About YMCA North London
Founded in 1903 as Hornsey YMCA and operating the largest facility for young people at risk of homelessness in Haringey, the largest in North London. Over 300 different young people a year are accommodated by YMCA North London and given access to a range of different support facilities.
YMCA North London offers a dedicated women’s area within the hostel. They work with a number of training organisations and skills agencies to provide routes to training and employment for young people. They also support almost 100 ex-offenders annually and are working to strengthen links with local prisons to support transition to independent living for ex-offenders.
