Are you looking for appropriate solutions to lighten your luggage?
Do You Know the Cretacolor® Drawing Materials Set?
The Cretacolor® Urban Sketching Set contains various drawing tools carefully selected by Cretacolor® and Molotow™ to facilitate the nomadism of certain artists. The whole set is presented in a rather nice box, made of metal, resistant, and above all easy to take with you on all your travels.
For those of us who like to keep to ourselves, the metal box can also be used in the studio to store brushes or any other long-handled tool. It’s a very practical recycling system that avoids unnecessary waste!
GOOD TO KNOW: The box has a plastic cap with a wide rim to make a great water reservoir if needed when using the watercolour pencils or brush. Think about it, it’s so practical!

Once Upon a Time with Cretacolor®
Manufacturer of fine art materials based in Vienna, Austria, the brand CRETACOLOR® is proud of the expertise and worldwide reputation it has earned over the years.
It all began with the ambition of two Austrian individualists: Carl Brevillier and Hans Wolfgang Hromatka. In 1863, the industrialist and wagon builder Carl Brevillier (a lover of the arts) founded the Zeus graphite pencil factory in Austria, thus making writing and drawing accessible to a broad public. At that time, graphite pens and pencils were handmade, not very durable and very expensive, so Carl’s aim was to produce high quality materials for people who like to write or draw.
The years passed, and the business experienced ups and downs. Hans Wolfgang Hromatka succeeded in preventing the company from closing in 1996 with the purchase of the “Hirm Pencil Factory”. The passionate collector of old pencils gave the name CRETACOLOR® to this historical brand.
In 2008, thanks to the acquisition of Brevillier-Urban (a company that inherited the pencil factory from Carl Brevillier and Hans Wolfgang Hromatka), the managers added the name of Brevillier to the CRETACOLOR logo and the company CRETACOLOR® Brevillier Urban & Sachs was born. And there you have it!
GOOD TO KNOW: You can find a great range of pencils in GreatArt store in Shoreditch (London) or on GreatArt.co.uk online shop.
