Exhibit Here is a new initiative aimed at local artists interested in showcasing their work on one hand, and without the formal boundaries of a white box gallery on the other hand.
Therefore artists are invited to curate a large wall in Stour Space’s popular cafe. Located in an area of rapid redevelopment, Stour Space endeavours to support and promote the value of creative enterprise to people of all ages and abilities. James Hart is the latest artist to take on the challenge of the ‘Exhibit Here’ space.
“I am a London based artist using the world as my inspiration. I experiment with different pigments inks and surfaces and I like to tell stories in my work and allow the viewer to continue that with their imagination. For the piece at Stour Space I used the black and white formula to describe many a mountain I have seen on my journeys. Abstracting and distorting rivers waterfalls & nature.” James Hart.
