with Hundred Years Gallery
As part of our partnership, Each month Hundred Years Gallery introduced a different artist with different techniques and ideas for a residency in the GreatArt store. We were able to support these artists with materials, and a comfortable, free space to make their work. Whilst some were already involved in ongoing projects others started new projects here and produced some exceptional work, experimenting with the space and the public nature of the store environment.
To finalise this year of creativity, Hundred Years Gallery will host an exhibition of the works created by its artists within the walls of GreatArt. The exhibition will take place 28th June to 8th July and include works by Ana Pallares, Mervyn Diese, Jamie Valtierra, Anna Burel, Mark Rathmell, Johnny Cole, Jane Smith, Ben Connors, Barnaby Tydeman, Sarah Hill, Maria Constantinou and Jo Roberts.
The Exhibition takes place at Hundred Years Gallery, which is only a short walk from GreatArt at 13 Pearson Street, London, E2 8JD, and will open on the 28th June with a private view event from 18:30 to 21:30.
A full program of workshops and events has been organised to compliment the exhibition, including a second residency at the GreatArt store for Ana Pallares:
From 29th June: and during the length of the show, artist Maria Contastinou will continue painting her 10m canvas while interacting with the audience.

“As a not for profit company, Hundred Years Gallery relies heavily on the generosity of the audience’s donations and this is why, in this present time of austerity the generosity of GreatArt is so important and crucial. We would like very much if its attitude would encourage others to do the same.”
