GreatArt are very pleased to be hosting the Unity Exhibition next week in aid of Amnesty International UK, and organised in collaboration with Trapped in Zone One.

The exhibition features pieces created by Curtis Hylton, Goro Uno, Nacho Welles and Dd Regalo during the Unity fundraising event at Ben Oakley Gallery in June 2017. All artwork is for sale with proceeds going to Amnesty International UK.

In addition to the exhibition, there will also be live collaborative art demonstrations from the four participating artists during the weekend, creating pieces with the theme of unity.

Meet the Artists

Dd Regalo is a contemporary Canadian artist currently living and working in London (UK).

“I like it messy, raw and loose around the edges…each mark is part of the story” – Dd

Working primarily in painting and mixed media, Dd is known for his expressive marks, poetic scrawling and abstract compositions. Inspired by the human experience, both physical and abstract, personal and collective, He his subjects emotionally as well as figuratively.

Dd Regalo has lived and worked internationally including Australia, China, USA, UK and his native country Canada.. Mostly recently in April, his work was sold at Christie’s London for THE AUCTION charity fundraiser with Terrence Higgins Trust.

Nacho Welles is a portrait and street artist from Spain based in London. His art mixes street art aesthetics with realistic style portraits and a glitch twist. He has done exhibitions in Japan, Greece, UK and Spain, and painting in street art events all around Europe.

Nacho’s painting shown here was created during the Unity fundraiser and represents two different moments of a person, looking straight to the viewer and the other one avoiding it.

Curtis Hylton is a Hampshire based mural artist who primarily works in spray paint to create surreal pieces inspired by his love of botanical and anatomical art. He has extensive experiance painting commercial and domestic murals and has had the pleasure of working alongside some of the countries top artists and for an impressive client list.

Goro Uno is a street artist from Poland based in London. Goro’s style is heavily influenced by letter based street artwork with comic book esthetics, usually working with sprays and also drawing. He is also half of OTD crew.
