The Great North Art Show Winners

Designed to promote the quality and diversity of contemporary art in the North, the Great North Art Show provides a dynamic snapshot of the region’s creative energies.

This year Ripon Cathedral was filled with work from over 50 artists, including wall-hung pieces, sculpture and a video installation.

The judges feedback of this years show was; “A lively exhibition that encompasses a wide range of mediums, showcasing new video work for the first time, and work in non-traditional mediums such as felt and stitch work.  Once again the Great North Art Show demonstrates that there is a wealth of talent in the North of England and the Cathedral is a wonderful showcase.”
