A new way to use soft pastel…

After numerous group discussions with professional artists from different origins, and practicing different techniques, the PanPastel concept was born. Its creators literally took the pastel out of its stick to make it softer, Then simply put it in pans, just like paint!

Made using extra-fine pigments, the PanPastels follow a fabrication process that requires a minimum amount of binder. This unique formula gives them a smooth, rich texture which forms very little powdery waste and their high pigmentary concentration guarantees an excellent lightfastness, perfect for professional artists.

Each of the 9ml pan contains about 40% more material than a traditional pastel stick (medium percentage based on a recent study on extra-fine soft pastels). Panpastel is completely compatible, even complementary, with traditional soft pastels and immediately appeals to painters offering every artist the opportunity to enjoy the simple practice of dry techniques.

PanPastel is the first unbreakable pastel that allows the application of techniques particular to paint. Very easy to use techniques that are tricky to realize with stick pastels are now much simpler! The colours can be applied on the support just like paint and can be blended and layered easily. The finely ground pigments and the application method make it easier to create beautiful colour shades.
